H-464 - Signal Relay (8 or 10 contacts)

Signal relay with 8 or 10 contacts and contact gap > 3 mm - a direct replacement for JRF relays in turnout drives. The H-464 is a relay with forcibly guided contacts, available in 8-contact or 10-contact versions. The contact gap exceeds 3 mm - greater than in older JRF relays. AgSnO2 contacts with 0.2 or 5 µm gold plating. DC drive (neutral monostable), current-controlled or bistable operation. The H-464 meets EN 50578 / UIC 736e requirements for signal relays. Typical applications: axle counters, level-crossing barrier control, turnout control, signals and signalling devices, and railway signalling control circuits. This is the best documented railway application in Hengstler's portfolio: H-464 relays perform the functions of pushbutton relays (monostable versions) and setting relays (bistable versions) in three-phase turnout-setting circuits in mechanically centralized signalling installations, for example N86-TK modernization projects.

Key features:

  • 8 or 10 contacts, forcibly guided
  • Monitored relay, Type C according to UIC 736 / IEC 62912 (also described as “Class II” in Polish technical literature)
  • Contact gap > 3 mm
  • Switching current up to 10 A
  • DC drive (neutral monostable), current-controlled or bistable operation
  • AgSnO2 contacts, 0.2 or 5 µm gold plating
  • Mechanical life > 10,000,000 cycles
