Hengstler has been designing and manufacturing electromechanical and electronic components for industrial automation, railways, and infrastructure since 1846 - from a clockmaking workshop in Aldingen, Germany, to a manufacturer with a global presence. In-house production in Germany and Slovakia enables short lead times and versions tailored to individual customer requirements. Since 1995, the company has been part of a corporate group originating from Danaher, now Ralliant Corporation.
The portfolio includes rotary encoders (incremental and absolute) for measuring position and speed in automation and industrial processes; multifunction, totalizing, and hour meters, as well as pneumatic proximity switches for counting events and recording equipment operating time; electromechanical relays - industrial, safety, and signalling relays for railways - under the Hengstler and KACO brands, including variants manufactured to individual customer requirements; thermal printers and cutters for integration into kiosks, ticket machines, payment devices, and industrial machinery; as well as low- and medium-voltage vacuum contactors (up to 12 kV) from Joslyn Clark - Hengstler's sister brand in the Sensors and Safety Systems segment of Ralliant Corporation (Dynapar Corporation).
Applications include railways and transportation, industrial automation, wind power, the process and petrochemical industries, mining, data centres, banking and payments, as well as machinery and equipment manufacturers.
