Fluke Ti480 PRO Thermal Imager (640 × 480, LaserSharp autofocus)

Pistol-grip thermal imager designed for one-handed use, with a full-resolution detector and LaserSharp autofocus that focuses after measuring distance with a laser rangefinder. IR-Fusion technology overlays infrared and visible-light images.

Compared with the Ti401 PRO, it has greater thermal sensitivity, SuperResolution mode, MultiSharp focus adjustment across the field of view and video recording. The housing withstands drops with a standard lens installed, which is important for inspections from ladders or access platforms.

During inspections of substation switchboards, trackside cabinets, terminals in vehicle equipment cabinets, converters, braking resistors, bearings and brakes in the undercarriage, the camera reveals components with elevated temperatures before failure. A target should cover at least several detector pixels; a telephoto lens is needed for long-distance measurements.
