Fluke 289 Industrial Logging Multimeter (true RMS, TrendCapture)

Industrial true-RMS multimeter with data logging for diagnostics of automation systems, power distribution and electromechanical equipment. Recorded readings can be displayed as a graph directly on the instrument (TrendCapture), without a computer.

Unlike a basic multimeter, it includes an event logger with change thresholds, a low-pass filter for measurements downstream of a frequency inverter, a low-impedance input to eliminate ghost voltages, and a low-resistance range with milliohm resolution for comparing windings and contacts.

In rolling-stock workshops and substations, the instrument can be left connected to log battery voltage drops, control-signal interruptions and auxiliary-circuit overloads that only occur during operation or under load. Direct current measurement is limited to the ampere range stated in the datasheet.
