The CSA C22.2 series comprises Canadian electrical product safety standards (Canadian Electrical Code, Part II) used by CSA Group and other Canadian-accredited bodies to certify products for the Canadian market. Railway-component datasheets may cite No. 14 (industrial control equipment, counterpart to UL 508), No. 235 (supplementary protectors, counterpart to UL 1077), No. 5 (molded-case circuit breakers, tri-national standard with UL 489), and No. 248 (low-voltage fuses, tri-national standard with UL 248).
Certification to the Canadian standard combined with UL certification results in cULus or cCSAus marking accepted on both sides of the border.
