Airpax CEL Circuit Breaker with Signaling (214)

Airpax CEL from the 214 family has an integrated SPDT auxiliary changeover contact that indicates mechanism position-ON or OFF. Breaker status can therefore be sent to the substation SCADA system without an additional sensor.

Versions include a single pole rated 125 A according to TÜV and four poles connected in parallel for 400 A according to UL 489A. The characteristic remains stable from −40 to +85 °C. Approvals: UL 1077, CSA, TÜV, VDE and CCC.

Typical circuits include 3 kV DC substation auxiliaries (110/220 V DC), control of high-speed circuit breakers and station emergency lighting.

The housing material used in production of this family-a glass-fibre-reinforced polyester composite designated 610-P610B01-meets R22 and R23 requirements from Table 5 of EN 45545-2:2013+A1:2015 for hazard levels HL1, HL2 and HL3. Test results: oxygen index >80.0%, Ds max 41, CIT(NLP) 0.05 [Warringtonfire summary report no. 522701 dated 12.09.2022, based on reports 518051, 518056 and 518062]. The assessment applies to the material itself in the tested form; compliance of the complete apparatus is confirmed by the manufacturer for the specific version.
