The Airpax 214 family includes IAL variants without approvals, IUL with UL 1077, and IEL with UL 1077, CSA, TÜV IEC 60947-2 and VDE 0730/0804/0805; the same datasheet also covers IML and LML versions. Circuit breakers are available with one to four poles and retain their characteristic from −40 to +85 °C without derating.
Ratings reach 100 A at 65 V DC, 70 A at 80 V DC and 70 A at 240 V AC. Rated interrupting capacity is 5000 A at 240 V AC and 7500 A at 80 V DC.
The IEL variant maintains insulation clearances according to IEC 60601 for medical equipment and IEC 60950 for information-technology equipment. This is relevant in passenger areas where 230 V sockets, USB chargers, LED lighting and visual-signalling devices operate within reach.
The housing material used in production of this family-a glass-fibre-reinforced polyester composite designated 610-P610B01-meets R22 and R23 requirements from Table 5 of EN 45545-2:2013+A1:2015 for hazard levels HL1, HL2 and HL3. Test results: oxygen index >80.0%, Ds max 41, CIT(NLP) 0.05 [Warringtonfire summary report no. 522701 dated 12.09.2022, based on reports 518051, 518056 and 518062]. The assessment applies to the material itself in the tested form; compliance of the complete apparatus is confirmed by the manufacturer for the specific version.
