Fluke ii915 Acoustic Imager (compressed-air leaks, partial discharges)

Acoustic camera with a microphone array that overlays a map of sound sources (SoundMap) on a visible-light image and pinpoints leaks or electrical discharges from distances of several tens of metres, without approaching energized or pressurized equipment. Measurements take seconds and do not require a shutdown.

Within the ii900 Series, the ii915 offers the broadest frequency range and longest working distance, plus two analysis modes in addition to leak detection: PDQ for classifying partial discharges (corona, surface, arcing and internal void discharges) using phase-resolved pulse data, and MecQ for identifying mechanical anomalies.

In substations and overhead traction systems, the camera detects partial discharges on insulators, cable terminations and switchgear; onboard, it locates leaks in pneumatic brake and door systems without removing covers. Frequency-band selection helps filter background noise in workshops or along the track.
