Stud-terminal blocks remain a basic solution for power connections in rail vehicles, where a conductor terminated with a cable lug is tightened onto a stud. This connection type belongs to the CLIPLINE complete DIN-rail terminal-block system, so the same accessories-covers, jumpers and connecting rails-can be used. The range covers conductor cross-sections up to 300 mm² at rated currents up to 520 A, in direct-mounting and DIN-rail versions. The RBO 12-DHR-HC terminal block is intended for traction-motor circuits and accepts two-hole cable lugs; it is rated at 450 A and 1800 V and is used in motor disconnect points and inter-car connections where the joint must withstand vibration and service-disconnection cycles. Potential distribution to smaller outgoing conductors is provided by AGK PT tap-off terminal blocks mounted directly on HV and RBO series blocks. They are available for M10 studs with four or eight galvanically connected Push-in contacts accepting conductors up to 10 mm²-the supply enters through a cable lug while outgoing circuits are wired without tools. For rolling-stock manufacturers exporting to the French market, the HV NFF portfolio is optimized and tested to NFF61-017. It includes single studs from M5 to M12 and double studs from M6 to M12, with a screw-locking system based on a self-locking nut and conical disc spring. Hinged-cover series use captive nuts to prevent parts from being lost during servicing on the vehicle. Rolling-stock variants have confirmed railway approvals: fire protection according to DIN EN 45545-2 for R22, R23, R24 and R26 requirement sets at hazard levels HL1 to HL3, declared surface flammability to NFPA 130 using ASTM E 162 for the US market, and broadband vibration testing according to DIN EN 50155 (VDE 0115-200) from 5 Hz to 250 Hz, for 5 hours on each X, Y and Z axis. The vibration-test category must be checked for the specific item-verified RT-series blocks are Category 1 for carbody mounting, while AGK PT tap-off blocks are Category 2 for bogie mounting.
