What the standard covers

A Chinese national standard for low-voltage circuit-breakers, being a modified adoption (MOD, 修改采用) of IEC 60947-2:2019. It covers circuit-breakers within the scope of IEC 60947-2. Since the 2020 edition the standard has recommended status (GB/T); the 2008 edition had mandatory status (GB).

What this means for selection

A GB/T 14048.2 declaration is relevant when supplying rolling stock or components to the Chinese market; for the EU market the applicable document is IEC/EN 60947-2.
