Cable marking in locations exposed to outdoor conditions requires a carrier resistant both mechanically and to weathering. The PATG HF family comprises halogen-free TPU cable markers intended for operation from −30 °C to +85 °C. Under DIN EN 45545-2, the family meets R23 and R24 requirement sets at hazard levels HL1 to HL3 and R22 at HL1 and HL2. Markers are also available for plug-in UniCard labels, allowing the same material and printers to be used as for terminal-block and device marking while maintaining a consistent form of identification throughout the installation.
The range is complemented by metal plates for marking wires and cables, also used as equipment and installation labels. Their advantage is resistance to mechanical influences and weather conditions-they are suitable where identification must survive the entire service life of a facility without renewal, including outdoor installations and high-voltage circuits. The aluminium version operates from −25 °C to +125 °C, the V4A stainless-steel version from −80 °C to +350 °C, and IPX9K protection according to DIN EN 60529 depends on the printing method used. For metal plates, the manufacturer does not provide a fire-protection declaration; where DIN EN 45545-2 confirmation is required, it should be agreed before delivery.
