Airpax IAR, IUR, IER, CUR and CER circuit breakers are housed in a 1U format suitable for 19-inch racks in local control centres (LCS) and substation server rooms. The snap-acting mechanism opens the contacts at full speed regardless of how quickly the handle is moved.
One- and two-pole versions are available. Ratings are 2–65 A at 80 V DC according to UL 489A and 2–50 A at 80 V DC and 250 V AC according to UL 1077. Rated interrupting capacity is 5000 A at 80 V DC and 2000 A at 250 V AC. Approvals include UL 1077, TÜV according to IEC 60947 and UL 489A.
The device maintains its characteristic from −40 to +85 °C. Series and mid-trip configurations are available, with an optional auxiliary alarm contact.
