Ultra-fast aR fuse-links in square-body size 72 rated for 1200 V DC, rated currents 160–420 A, weight 1.15 kg. Breaking capacity 100 kA at 1200 V DC and L/R = 10 ms, and 100 kA at 1500 V DC and L/R = 1–3 ms. Compliance with IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-4, UL recognition (file E76491) and Chinese GB/T 13539.4-2016.
The fuse-links protect converter semiconductors in elevated-voltage DC circuits - an example from the range is D72SG120V350QF (350 A, pre-arcing I²t 131 kA²s, clearing I²t 227 kA²s, losses 118 W at In). Operation at elevated ambient temperatures and low I²t limit damage to protected components during a short circuit.
In rolling stock, the family is used in onboard converter circuits; traction-design SQ 72 holders are available for installation.
Applications according to the datasheet: protection of inverters, motor drives and UPS systems, railway power and auxiliary circuits, and protection of ESS battery cabinets up to 1500 V DC. The latter case corresponds to the 100 kA rating at 1500 V DC and L/R = 1–3 ms.
