Mersen (Carbone Lorraine until 2010) is a French group listed on Euronext Paris, present in 32 countries and operating more than 50 production facilities. It operates in two segments: Electrical Power (fuses and semiconductor protection, surge protection devices, disconnectors, power-electronics cooling, busbars) and Advanced Materials (graphite and composite materials, carbon brushes and contact strips). Mersen solutions are used in power distribution, renewable energy and energy storage, electric vehicles, aerospace, and railways.

This website highlights Mersen's railway portfolio. In the vehicle current path: carbon contact strips for pantographs and third-rail current collectors (CCD), ERCU axle return-current units, and 750–2000 V DC fuse and junction boxes. In protection: Protistor® aR and gR fuse-links for traction converters and auxiliary converters (up to 4200 V DC), Limitor® medium-voltage fuse-links with striker for 3 kV onboard circuits, traction fuse bases and trip-indication microswitches, 10 and 20 kA traction surge arresters, and Surge-Trap® surge protection devices for power-supply cabinets and charging infrastructure. The underframe offer is completed by carbon sticks for wheel-flange lubrication. The portfolio is supplemented by NH gG/aM fuse-links, IEC cylindrical fuse-links, fuse-switch disconnectors, and mounting accessories for substation switchgear and trackside cabinets. Products are presented according to their installation location in the vehicle and infrastructure.
