OA 5603/39 - PCB signalling relay with forcibly guided contacts to EN 50578 (UIC 736), 8 contacts

An electromagnetic PCB relay with eight forcibly guided contacts: an NO and an NC contact of the same relay can never be closed at the same time, so welding of one contact is detected by the opposite contact. DOLD designed it according to EN 50578 (UIC 736, type C) for railway signalling circuits, as declared in the datasheet. Crown contacts increase switching reliability for small signal currents, and the clearance and creepage distances between coil and contacts correspond to double and reinforced insulation.

The relay handles loads from milliampere signals to actuating circuits; DOLD offers AgSnO₂ contacts for inductive loads and higher currents and gold-plated AgNi contacts for signal circuits. The housing is flux-proof, optionally wash-proof, which allows wave soldering with board washing. The contact arrangement is selected from six combinations of NO and NC contacts.

We propose it for the boards of interlocking circuits, trackside interfaces and point machine control, where an unambiguous contact state is required even after a fault. The datasheet gives vibration resistance tested according to UIC 736 / EN 50578.
