Crydom PMP solid-state relays (SSR-switches without moving contacts) are microcontroller-based single-phase proportional power controllers in a 22.5 mm housing. They continuously regulate power delivered to a resistive load from 0 to 100% at 90–600 V AC, with current ratings of 25, 50 and 90 A (for example PMP2490W and PMP4850W).
Two control methods can be selected by a switch on the module: phase-angle control and burst-fire control with distributed zero crossing. The analogue input accepts 0–5 V DC, 0–10 V DC or 4–20 mA; the 4–20 mA signal requires no additional power supply. A multifunction status LED is provided. Approvals: cURus, IEC, CE and RoHS.
In rolling stock and infrastructure, the modules are used for continuous heater control-heating, anti-icing systems and regulation of heating power in cabinets and ventilation ducts.
