Crydom DRC3 3-Phase AC Solid-State Contactor (up to 600 V)

Crydom DRC3 solid-state contactors (SSR-switches without moving contacts) are three-phase AC motor controllers for 35 mm DIN rail, intended for frequent switching of three-phase loads up to 5 hp (approx. 3.7 kW), 600 V AC and 7.6 A per phase.

They are available in 2- or 3-phase versions; two-phase control is suitable for motor circuits without a neutral conductor. A DRC3R reversing contactor with interlock is also available, permitting only stop, forward or reverse. Operating voltage is 400 / 480 / 600 V AC (for example DRC3P48A420).

Control voltage is 18–30, 36–55, 90–140 or 208–265 V AC/DC. Zero-voltage switching is used for resistive loads and instantaneous switching for inductive loads and motors. Approvals: cULus product approval, IEC, CE and RoHS, with motor horsepower rating.

In rolling stock and infrastructure, they are used for contactless control of three-phase motors such as pumps, fans and auxiliary-system compressors.
