Electricity metering equipment - dependability; Part 32-1: durability at elevated temperature.
The standard specifies a method for testing the stability of the metrological characteristics of electricity meters during prolonged operation at the upper limits of temperature, voltage and current within the operating range. Only energy-measurement accuracy is assessed; other meter functions are outside the scope.
The result does not permit prediction of how long stability will be maintained under normal conditions. It applies to all meter types within the scope of IEC TC 13.
Passing a test according to IEC 62059-32-1 documents that meter accuracy is maintained after operation at elevated temperature - important for installation in unconditioned cabinets.
