Type 1+2 surge protective device (IEC Class I+II) in a 3+1 configuration for TT and TN-S 230/400 V networks, occupying four modules on a TH35 DIN rail. The leakage-current-free (LCF) version keeps residual current Ipe below 10 µA, so the SPD does not increase circuit leakage current or cause nuisance tripping of residual-current devices. Lightning impulse current Iimp (10/350) is 25 kA in L–N paths and 100 kA in the N–PE path; nominal discharge current In (8/20) is 25 kA and 100 kA N–PE. Voltage protection level Up ≤1.5 kV for L–N and N–PE and ≤1.8 kV for L–PE. Maximum continuous operating voltage Uc 255 V AC, response time below 100 ns, follow current Ifi 100 A, short-circuit withstand Isccr 25 kA, backup fuse up to 250 A gG.
The monoblock design without replaceable cartridges eliminates the risk of plug-in contact loosening under vibration. Temporary overvoltage (TOV) withstand: 440 V for 120 minutes on L–N in fail-safe mode and 1200 V for 200 ms on N–PE. Dynamic thermal disconnection indicates end-of-life through an optical indicator and a remote-signalling microswitch rated 250 V / 0.5 A AC or 125 V / 0.2 A DC.
In a trackside cabinet or auxiliary switchboard of a dispatch centre, the SPD is installed at the 230/400 V supply input, upstream of load protection. Iimp 25 kA per path qualifies it for zones exposed to direct lightning current entering the building lightning-protection system, while the N–PE path with Iimp 100 kA carries equalizing current between neutral and the earthing busbar. Operating range −40…+85 °C, humidity 5–95%, operation up to 4000 m above sea level, IP20 protection, PA66 CT1 enclosure with UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Terminals accept 10–35 mm² solid and 10–25 mm² stranded conductors, tightening torque 4 N·m; signalling contact 1.5 mm² at 0.2 N·m.
