What the standard covers

The standard specifies the mechanical interface, envelope and mounting of 6U VPX plug-in modules cooled by liquid flowing through an integrated module heat exchanger, with quick-disconnect couplings to the chassis cooling system; it retains the connector arrangement of VITA 46.0. The 2022 edition corrects dimensional errors, adds interoperability requirements and expands the component supplier base.

It applies to 6U modules.
