ANSI/VITA 46 (VPX) - 3U/6U modular computer systems with high-speed connectors; base specification.
The base VPX standard defines the physical features of 3U and 6U plug-in modules (Eurocard format) and backplanes enabling high-speed serial communication in critical and embedded computer systems: MultiGig RT2 connectors, pin assignments, power supply and dimensions.
The 2019 edition removes and updates elements from the 2013 edition in line with current VPX technology requirements. The standard itself does not define system interoperability - that is covered by OpenVPX (ANSI/VITA 65).
