Signalling microswitches mounted on Protistor® fuse-links provide maintained remote indication of fuse status (conducting / operated) with manual reset. Basic version MC3E1-5N (cat. no. D310020): 1250 V AC/DC insulation, 5 A contact. MC3E1-5NBS version for low-current circuits (minimum 10 V / 10 mA), MC3E1-5NETANCHE in a sealed IP50 enclosure; MCR and MC2R series extend insulation to 2200 V and 6000 V respectively.
In rolling-stock switchboards and fuse boxes, the microswitch sends fuse-operation information to the vehicle diagnostic circuit without visual inspection of the fuse-link. Contact switching capacity depends on voltage and circuit type (values specified in the Mersen datasheet).
For signalling in medium-voltage circuits, versions with flexible leads are used: MC1-5NFLEXQ, MC1-5NFLEXQ640 (640 mm lead) and MC1-5NFLEXQS500 (E092855) - the microswitch is actuated by the striker of the MV fuse-link, for example the Limitor® aSJB/D family.
