Crydom SMR-6 solid-state relays (SSR-switches without moving contacts) are AC modules with circuit-status monitoring.
Operating voltage is 60–280 V AC (47–63 Hz), with current ratings of 25, 50 and 90 A; part numbers SMR2425-6, SMR2450-6 and SMR2490-6. Control voltage is 8–32 V DC, with inverting or non-inverting input. Permissible surge current ranges from 239/250 A to 1145/1200 A for one cycle depending on the version. Integrated diagnostics make it easier to detect circuit faults-open circuit or a shorted switching element-in applications with elevated reliability requirements.
In rolling stock and infrastructure, they are used for contactless switching and monitoring of AC circuits such as heaters and critical loads in equipment cabinets. The datasheet states that the product was designed to IEC 62314 requirements; the manufacturer does not declare certified compliance with that standard in the datasheet.
