Crydom LVD DC Solid-State Relay with Undervoltage Cutoff (12/24 V batteries, 40–100 A)

Crydom LVD low-voltage disconnects automatically open the circuit when voltage falls, protecting 12 V and 24 V batteries against deep discharge. The output uses FET transistors with low on-state resistance of 5–15 mΩ and continuous-current ratings of 40, 60, 80 and 100 A (for example LVD75A100 and LVD75B60), with an operating range of 3–75 V DC.

The disconnect threshold depends on the version: approximately 11–12 V for 12 V systems or 23–25.6 V for 24 V systems; maximum input voltage is 36 V DC. Operating temperature is −30 to +80 °C, with a potted panel-mount housing.

In rolling stock, they protect onboard battery banks against discharge by auxiliary loads while the vehicle is parked. The datasheet states that the product was designed to IEC 62314 requirements; the manufacturer does not declare certified compliance with that standard in the datasheet.
