Passenger stations and charging infrastructure

Charging stations, shore supply and station equipment with drives require an emergency stop circuit that disconnects the supply at the safety level required by the risk assessment. The UF 6925 module of the SAFEMASTER family accepts a two-channel signal from emergency stop buttons or guard switches, detects a cross fault between the channels and a wire break at the start button, and has its outputs on forcibly guided contacts; the datasheet gives Category 4 / PL e to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 to EN 61508.

Where the stop button must travel with the operator - extensive technical platforms, mobile stands - DOLD has the SAFEMASTER W wireless system: the UH 6900 module with the RE 6900 handheld transmitter carries the signal over radio in bidirectional transmission, and loss of the link switches off the circuit on the receiving side.

Selection of the module covers the supply voltage, the number of safety contacts and the start mode; the complete system requires validation according to EN ISO 13849-2, and the radio system a range check under the installation conditions according to the antenna selection note.
