Airpax MDS2 Modular DC Distribution System (273)

Airpax MDS2 (Modular Distribution System 2, code 273) distributes 125 V DC power in local control centres (LCS) and substation server rooms. The system can be expanded with additional modules without shutting down the supply-a new position can be inserted onto the live busbar.

Configurations with 4, 6 or 8 positions are available, each rated up to 100 A; in the 8-position version the common busbar carries 600 A. Horizontal or vertical mounting to the main busbar is possible.

Positions accept Airpax IEL, IML, LEL and LML circuit breakers from the 214 family with 5/16-inch plug-in terminals. Material flammability is UL 94 V-0 and dielectric strength is 2000 V DC.
